Research Interests

A high quality representation of a 3D object must capture two different aspects: the shape of the model, represented as a geometric description of its surface, and the appearance of the material it is made of, e.g. the object color, texture, or reflectance properties. The ability to capture reflectance data, in addition to shape, allows to create graphical representations that can be inserted into new environments, reilluminated, and rendered from new viewpoints.
