I was born in Rovereto (Trento, Italy) in 1965. I graduated in Mathematics in the year 1988 at the University of Pisa, and I did my PhD studies from 1989 to 1991in the same city, at the Scuola Normale Superiore. From 1991 to 1999, I have been Researcher in Mathematical Analysis at the Department of Mathematics, University of Trento. From 1999 to 2008, I worked as Associate Professor in Mathematical Analysis, till 2002 at the University of Basilicata (Potenza-Italy), and from 2002 to 2008 back in Trento. Since october 1, 2008 i moved to the University of Verona, where I live with my family.

My research interests are Calculus of Variations and Geometric Measure Theory: if you are interested, my C.V. is on my institutional page.

In the italian version of this page, you will find links to the teaching material I prepared for my students, and also to a collection of my java applets.

You can also visit the home page of MeshSmith: it is a java application for visualizing graphs of functions and parametric surfaces, and to save them in a format suitable for rendering purposes. Give it a check (pages in english).
