An introduction to derived module categories
Prof. Dr. Steffen König
University of Stuttgart
Given two rings, which are not isomorphic, one would like to compare
their representation theories and to transfer information from one
to the other. Derived module categories provide a fairly general and
useful framework for doing so as well as for discovering surprising
connections.
In this lecture series I will try to provide an elementary and
non-technical introduction to derived module categories,
illustrating some of the key points by detailed examples.
